Mary Baklund, Owner/Agent
Mary started working at her father's insurance agency at the age of 18. Mary's father asked her to help out at his office after the 06/17/1978 hail storm that destroyed many vehicles and damaged many homes in the area.
My dad always said I have a knack for dealing with people. He was impressed with the way I helped them. He asked me to come to work for him in his agency. I agreed and the rest is history.
"My passion has always been to help others" says Mary. I did not realize how much I was helping others and felt good about being able to give the gift of financial security in many ways. Insurance has always played a big part of my life. I believe that is why I continued out on my own in 1992 as a captive agent in Sioux City for 18 years.
November 2010 Mary decided that is was time to branch out and become an Independent Agent. "It was a very hard decision to leave all my clients behind, however now I am able to offer many different top rated companies and save people thousands of dollars. For me it's not all about the money it's about doing what's right for me and what fits my client's needs."
I am most grateful to my family and all of my past clients and supporters who helped me get where I am today.
